The team began hosting our first raffle at the LRU basketball game on Saturday. We are auctioning off both a $50 Amazon gift card and a set of brand new air pods. The prices for tickets are as follows: $1 for 1, $5 for 6, $10 for 13, and $20 for 30. If interested in supporting us, be sure to contact the team through the contact tab on our home page, or give us a direct message via our social media sites to purchase tickets and potentially win one of our great prizes!
In other upcoming events, due to the heavy rains last Thursday, the team had to postpone the second part of our convocation series, Build and Fly. Unfortunately, we have no definitive reschedule date, but hopefully we will be ready to fly soon! We will also soon be undergoing a technical review of our skeleton rocket on Friday, 2/14/20. We have been hard at work on it, and that will hopefully pay off soon. Additionally, the team will be heading to Gamewell Elementary School on February 21st! We are excited to partner with the science department at GES to present a bottle rocket activity that will both excite students about rocketry as well as teach them some basic principles of how rockets work.
